great console for value of money

This product is great! My Grandson loves it and it is a great Game Console!

Bought this in the hope of playing SNES or Mega Drive(Genisis) roms on the go. Unfortunately it's not powerful enough to play either of these formats. It struggles to play even the Gameboy Advance roms.

The overall feel, build and look of the product is pretty good. It feels solid enough and has 2 shoulder buttons(L + R) made of a nice clear plastic. The small joystick is responsive and you have the options in all games to map the buttons as you desire.

Playing videos is great. The large screen looks good and the speaker is of a decent quality as well. I loaded a 1 hour long HD video that it played almost flawlessly. I did not have to convert the AVI video before hand.

For playing games the screen doesn't work so good. You can either choose to have the screen the original size which leaves about half the screen black(large borders left and right). Or you can choose to stretch the image which in most cases makes a complete mess.

Battery life seems reasonable given the size of the screen. About an hour and a half to two hours. Turning down the brightness helps and doesn't really detract from the visuals.

To summarize this is great for movies but not so good for gaming. It's a shame because the controls and build would of made it perfect. It simply lacks the power to play anything above 8-bit. If possible I'd recommend getting rid of the camera(we don't need cameras on everything) and adding the possibilty of playing older roms for C64 etc.

Rated 3 largely based on the great price. Worth it if you're willing to settle for NES roms or older.

bon produit, malgres la notice en chinois et grace a un peu debidouille on la faitfonctionne facillement, c un vrai plaisir de retrouver les jeux d'antan.

The delivery is a disaster. The console came with a Chinese language manual. The designation on the front cover is Chinese leaving me without possibility to search on the net for a manual for the devise.
Furthermore the unit is defective. The On-Off switch (English texted !!!!) is not functioning, - only on USB charging power the unit wakes up. Now fully charget, but still no functionality.
Claim to MinilnTheBox, if you can find through their homepage, result in nonsense answers. Funny to see that I have here a homepage in my language (Danish) but the device delivered is in Chinese. It seems that I whasted my money.
