I. Ordering & Shipping.

Ordering and shipping went very smooth. The product took only 14 days to arrive here in Belgium (using free shipping). The package arrived in perfect condition, even though customs had opened it to check it out.

II. Package contents/ Unboxing.

The connection kit came in a professional looking, protective box with very clear instructions (in English) on the back of the box. It feels like buying an original accessory: perfect! Package opens easily (contrary to loads of those clamshell packages similar products are packaged in these days).

III. Materials, Dimensions & Quality.

The product feels and looks 100% like it's original counterparts. Quality is fine. It weighs 17,7 grams and it's dimensions are 4 x 5 x 1 cm. It has a USB port and 3 card slots. These can not be used simultaneously because of the limited power capacity of the iPad's built-in connector.

The base is made from durable plastic with painted icons and text on it and with standard (normal quality: like all similar electronics) ports/ connectors. It instantly worked perfectly out of the box.

IV. Operation & Tips.

Just connect it to your iPad's built-in connector and connect your camera, keyboard, iPhone, mobile or other USB device. Only USB devices that consume only a small amount of power can be connected (simply because of how an iPad works: this 'limitation' is not caused by this product!).

V. Available accessories/ parts on Miniinthebox.

You can get loads of memory cards on Miniinthebox; so by using this connection kit you can extend the storage memory of your iPad! :)

VI. Conclusion.

Before finding this item on Mini In The Box, I purchased one from Best Buy for $30 or $40. So I was able to compare the products side-by-side. The one from Mini has more connection options (5 in 1 as opposed to 3 in 1), although I'm not sure many people will need all 5 connectivity options. One feature about Best Buy's model which was quite nice, is that the product is a bit smaller so you don't need to take your ipad out of its case to use the camera connection kit. This one from Mini is a bit wider, and wouldn't fit with the case still on the ipad. Also, when I first tried the product, my pictures didn't come up right away - the ipad said that the product was not supported. Best Buy's, on the other hand, came up right away. After trying Mini's product a few more times, it worked just fine. I still don't know what the problem was, but I decided to return Best Buy's. Mini's price is unbeatable, even considering the minor downfalls.
