The item is exactly as pictured. The sponge is not removable so you must rinse it and lay it upright to dry. I wish it was detachable and secured with Velcro then you could rinse the sponge more easily. Very useful for cleaning large surfaces such as the bathtub. Cleaning is so much faster now!
