I got the set to replace a Turkmen tribal rug that I was using in the kitchen for lack of better place for it, but that rug tended to move around, and also lacked a waterproof backing. These rugs are much better suited for the kitchen area, they will absorb splashes from doing dishes, and they have a non-slip backing so theyll stay in place too.
