The thickness of the vynal/plastic is nice and thick. I believe this will keep my sheets and coats and other cloth items safe from dust, etc. in my closet, under the bed or maybe in my attic as well. But admittedly it gets extremely hot in the summer and extremely cold in the winter in the attic, so Im not sure how it will stand up to changing temperatures over time.
