This bit works fantastic on the cedar (old power poles) we use for kindling and even worked for the oak!
It became stuck in the oak in a spot and when we put it in reverse to back it out it unscrewed from the shank- good to know.

it works pretty damn good. The logs I got delivered were just a bit too big to burn well in my fireplace, so I take a load in and split them with the drill and life is so much easier. It even works really well to make kindling. it works pretty damn good. I bought this for my Dad as he has a lot of firewood and was manually cutting it. He took this bit out to the garage as soon as I gave it to him and loved it. Great and useful tool!
